CHETINAD CHICKEN

Ingredients
 
Chicken - 500 gms.
Onion - 1 large finely chopped
Curry leaves - 1/4 cup
Lemon juice - 1/2 tsp.
Oil - 3 tsp.
Milk -1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Grind to a paste
Ginger - 1 piece
Garlic - 4 flakes
Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
Coriander seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Black pepper - 1 tsp.
Whole red chilies - 4 nos
Green cardamom - 2 no’s
Cloves - 1 or 2 no’s
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.

Preparation
 
In a cooker add oil, onion, curry leaves and fry in “Cook” mode for 2 to 3 minutes. Add the prepared ground paste and chicken pieces in the cooker and keep in Cook mode for 5 minutes. Add water and again keep in "Cook" mode and cook for 20 minutes.
Once the chicken has cooked, add 1 cup of milk and lemon juice.
Serve hot.
